  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon liquid hickory smoke, to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ocean salt, or to taste
  • fresh soil dark pepper
  • sliced greenish onion for garnish (optional)
Eggplant:
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium eggplant, trimmed too cutting into 1-inch thick slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2/3 teaspoon dried reddish chili flakes
  • pinch of paprika
  • pinch of cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon ocean salt
  • fresh soil dark pepper
Instructions:
  • Rinse the beans too soak for 8 hours or overnight inwards several inches of water. Drain too rinse, hence transfer to a large heavy-bottomed saucepan.
